Hojlund breaks silence on Man Utd future amid Inter Milan transfer interest | Football | Sport

Manchester United’s Danish dynamo Rasmus Hojlund has shrugged off transfer rumours linking him with a move to Inter Milan, insisting he’s all in for the Red Devils.

The Manchester Evening News reported on Wednesday that Inter are eyeing up the 22 year old striker as they look to bolster their attack for the upcoming campaign.

After a disappointing Serie A season and a crushing 5-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final, Inter are keen to revamp their squad, with club president Giuseppe Marotta acknowledging Hojlund as a potential target.

Despite the swirling speculation, Hojlund, who netted ten times for United this term, remains focused on his future at Old Trafford, highlighting his long-term commitment to the club.

“I have a contract until 2030, so I expect to play for Manchester United,” Hojlund stated to Bold, a Danish news outlet. “I’m looking forward to going on a summer vacation, and then I’m fully dedicated to the project that’s underway.”

He dismissed the transfer talk, emphasising his current situation: “I know I can’t get much out of reading things. I know what the facts are, and that is that I have a contract with Manchester United until 2030.”

Hojlund is gearing up for a break before returning to United for what he hopes will be a fruitful pre-season. “I expect to play there, so I’m just getting ready for some summer vacation and then hopefully a good pre-season.”

Despite the Danish player hinting at a five-year extension to his current contract, he inked a five-year deal with Old Trafford in August 2023. This implies that his present contract is set to run out in June 2028, with an additional year’s option potentially extending his stay until the summer of 2029.

Since his move to United, Hojlund, who was in the starting line-up for Denmark’s 2-1 triumph over Northern Ireland on Saturday, has clocked up 95 appearances and netted 26 goals.
