These are the UK’s top 10 most-read books of the week according to Goodreads – and one author is seemingly taking the UK by storm. 

10. Fearless (The Powerless Trilogy, #3) by Lauren Roberts

Lauren Roberts’ Fearless is the conclusion to the romantasy trilogy that has taken the world by storm. The book follows Paedyn Gray and Kai Azer as they return to the Kingdom of Ilya, but Paedyn has a life-changing decision to make.

9. Fourth Wing (The Empyrean, #1) by Rebecca Yarros

Rebecca Yarros’ first instalment of adult romance fantasy, The Empryean trilogy follows the journey of Violet Sorrengail, after she is forced by her mother, General Sorrengail, to join the Basgiath War College and become a dragon rider in the kingdom of Navarre.

8. Iron Flame (The Empyrean, #2) by Rebecca Yarros

The bestselling American author appears again on the list with the second part of The Empryean trilogy. This time, we see Violet facing her next hurdle after surviving her first year at Basgiath War College. 

7. The Housemaid (The Housemaid, #1) by Freida McFadden

Freida McFadden’s 2022 release continues to dominate book charts as her novel achieved significant success when it became a bestseller, topping Amazon UK’s list. The thriller tells the story of a Housemaid that discovers the family she works for is hiding something and no one is safe. 

6. Problematic Summer Romance (Not in Love, #2) by Ali Hazelwood

New York Times bestselling author Ali Hazelwood’s novel tells the story of a relationship with a significant age gap. The story is set amongst a destination wedding where secrets come to the forefront and the complication of relationships ensues.

5. Onyx Storm (The Empyrean, #3) by Rebecca Yarros 

The third instalment of Rebecca Yarros’ Empyrean series is the middle marker in what will be a five-part series. This book follows Violet Sorrengail, now 18 months into her time at Basgiath War College, but the time for lessons is over, and the battle has truly begun. Yielding a massive secret, Violet is preparing for her biggest test yet. 

4. Sunrise on the Reaping (The Hunger Games, #0.5) by Suzanne Collins

Suzanne Collins’ latest Hunger Games instalment is one fans have longed for since the very beginning. It follows the 50th annual Hunger Games, which, in honour of the Quarter Quell, has twice as many tributes taking part. In District 12, when Haymitch Abernathy’s name is called, he’s torn from his family and his love and shuttled to the Capitol. 

3. Releasing 10 (Boys of Tommen, #6) by Chloe Walsh

Chloe Walsh’s sixth and final book in the Boys of Tommen series follows Lizzie Young and Hugh Biggs and their love story and emotional struggles. Their love is tested by outside forces, while Lizzie has also been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

2. Rewind It Back (Windy City, #5) by Liz Tomforde

Rewind It Back is the fifth book in Liz Tomforde’s Windy City series and has been described as a second-chance romance that focuses on Hallie HArt and Rio DeLuca who are childhood friends and also former lovers – but will they reignite their spark?

Published only this week, on June 5, The Tenant by Freida McFadden has topped the UK’s most-read list on Goodreads. The crime thriller author has written her most recent release about Blake Porter, who has recently lost his job and is struggling to make ends meet alongside his fiancée, Krista – so they decide to take in a tenant, Whitney, who seems perfect at first…
