Prince William is set to jet overseas within hours without Princess Kate and his three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The Prince of Wales, 42, will travel solo to Monaco to attend the Blue Economy and Finance Forum at the Grimaldi Forum on Sunday.
While the Princess of Wales will not accompany her husband, William will not be the only royal at the event. Instead, he will be joined by Albert, the Prince of Monaco.
The forum, which has been organised by the Government of Monaco, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, and the Oceanographic Institute of Monaco, with support from France and Costa Rica, to focus on ocean preservation is taking place over two days.
As reported by GB News, William will meet with Earthshot Prize finalists, winners and key partners during the forum event on Sunday to showcase innovative marine conservation solutions.
Prince William will also reportedly deliver a speech at the Heads of State and Government session during his visit on the forum’s final day.
Closing remarks from President Chaves Robles of Costa Rica, President Macron of France, and Prince Albert II of Monaco will be made shortly after William’s speech.
The event, which aims to help prevent further damage to ocean ecosystems, is taking place just days ahead of the 2025 UN Ocean Conference in Nice.
Environmental sustainability is a passion of Prince William’s which he has incorporated into his royal work, with the future King having set up The Earthshot Prize in 2020 to search for and create innovative solutions to the world’s greatest environmental challenges.
Princess Kate is not accompanying William to the event tomorrow.
She is instead likely to be staying at the couple’s Windsor home with their three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven.
