Last week we finally saw some evidence of sanity returning to the world when the UK Supreme Court ruled on the legal definition of “woman”. “The unanimous decision of this court is that the definition of the terms woman and sex in the Equality Act 2010 refer to a biological woman and biological sex” declared Lord Hodge.
Phew, thank goodness we sorted that one out! Or did we? Because radical lefty loonies from venting their spleen and this madness looks set to continue for the foreseeable future. One totally unfathomable aspect of this whole “trans’ debate is the extent to which passions can become so inflamed over a matter that concerns half of one percent of the entire population.
Added to the controversy is the present dithering of Two-Tier himself along with his minions. Since the full bench of the Supreme Court handed down their UNANIMOUS judgement the other day, we heard nary a word from our hapless PM for a full week.
He did finally comment with a word salad response that did very little but signal a complete U-turn on his previously stated position. Lest we forget, back in 2022, Two-Tier had said that quote… “trans women are women”. He had also previously said that it was “not right” to say that only women have a cervix, and that “99.9% of women… haven’t got a penis”. What unmitigated balderdash and blatant tosh!
Government ministers have likewise, in the meantime, been quick to take to social media in a blitz of hastily conjured up alignment with the ruling that blatantly contradicts many of their previous statements on the subject. Shameful opportunism doesn’t begin to describe it!
Trans activists have literally run riot over this past weekend by defacing and vandalising statues of both Millicent Fawcett AND Nelson Mandela, for example.
These two people actually made an enormous difference to the positive development of humankind, with their contributions being universally acknowledged. Take the trouble to expand your intellect, Possums, and do some research then you will discover all manner of interesting things.
Seriously though, why should Millicent Fawcett, who was such a standard bearer of advocacy for women’s rights, have her legacy so shockingly defiled? Why should Mandella’s moral authority
be so disgracefully disregarded when he stood as a global icon for the emancipation of millions of people in his native South Africa and beyond?
Don’t these activists have more important things to consider before becoming so inflamed about such a niche debate?
The matter of trans and trans rights has become so emotionally politicized in this country that it defies basic logic. Identify as a traffic bollard for all I care, but don’t expect me to accept this as normal by ramming it down my throat, because I won’t!
The invasion of women’s safe spaces has a disgrace as has allowing biological males to compete in sports against biological women.
Did Millicent Fawcett and Nelson Mandela fight for a world free of bigotry and hate only to see the onset of this lunacy? I don’t think so. When all is said and done though, regardless
of what your personal beliefs might be, the big question is how the hell did we go down this road in the first place?
Thank God for the Supreme Court siding with common sense.
