Prince William is among one of the most popular members of the Royal Family and is often seen launching a number of initiatives to help people across the country.
As well as his Homewards initiative, which is aimed at tackling homelessness, the future King also spends plenty of time working on projects related to mental health and the environment.
However, while his charity work is benefiting the nation and those across the world, it is believed that the Prince of Wales, 42, may need to utilise one extra thing for his future vision of modernising the monarchy to succeed.
According to a royal expert, the prince, who previously said it was his purpose to help others in his royal role during his recent ITV documentary Prince William: We Can End Homelessness, will need to continue with some less charitable work to keep attention on the monarchy high.
Royal historian and expert Dr Tessa Dunlop told The Mirror: “This is definitely William’s happy space – Earthshot speeches and homeless documentaries are his version of royalty with a small ‘r’.
“But royalty needs to be careful. The public will tolerate a bit of charitable hectoring but only if accompanied with a large dollop of fairytale glamour.”
She added: “The Royal Family might think they are above such glitzy gimmicks. That would be a mistake. After all, waiting in the wings are ex-royals the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
Despite no longer being senior members of the Royal Family after quitting in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still dominating headlines despite living across the pond in America.
The duke, who is estranged from his brother Prince William, is often spotted at engagements continuing his charitable work, as well as appearing alongside his wife at more high-profile events.
Dr Dunlop said: “Instinctively glamourous with bundles of razzmatazz, the Californian couple have an effortless knack for combining showbiz-gloss and public do-gooding.”
The expert went on to warn that the couple could be a future risk to the Royal Family if they were ever to “upstage” them.
Prince William is no longer on speaking terms with his brother Prince Harry, with the lack of contact between the siblings rumoured to have started after the release of the duke’s 2023 memoir Spare last year.
The brothers have attended various events at the same time, including their father the King’s Coronation last year, however they did not speak. Prince William has not publicly spoken about the rift.
