Ronnie O’Sullivan’s first round draw has been described as “one of the worst” available by former snooker star Ken Doherty.
The potter, who was speaking to Gambling.com, explained: “It’s one of the worst draws for those two players, but it’s one of the best draws for the rest of us, because of the history between them.
“I was in the press conference when Ali Carter came in, and he was asked about the possibility of drawing Ronnie O’Sullivan in the first round.
“He just said very quickly, ‘no comment’. So the intensity between the two has not gone away, and that makes it even spicier.”
