UK’s biggest outdoor water park in British riviera with its own ‘island’ | UK | News

The UK’s biggest outdoor water park which features a variety of exhilarating water rides and attractions, is all set to reopen in just days. Located in the English Riveria, Splashdown Quaywest, the water park is filled with twisting tyre rides, and slippery waterslides, making it a perfect summer staycation.

The waterpark in Devon will be reopened on April 18, and will then shut its doors again until the early May bank holiday, May 3-5. It will then continue to open up every weekend in May and June. Visitors can experience the adrenaline rush on slides like the Devil’s Drop, the UK’s highest and fastest flume with a 65ft near-vertical plunge, the Screamer, and the Wild Kamikaze.

One of the previous visitors wrote on the TripAdvisor forum: “Great day out for all the family, lots of slides fast one for dare devils, tyre slides, a race lane slide, gentle curvy slides a swimming pool, new pirate theme area with slides for little ones, sun bathing terrace, nice restaurant, lots of changing rooms, lockers available, great value for money, will definitely be back.”

Kids can splash around in Shipwreck Island, a giant water play area packed with interactive features, while adrenaline fans can take on eight exciting slides designed to get hearts racing.

For a bit of friendly competition, check out 3Fall, one of the park’s newest additions, where you can race your mates on mats down side-by-side lanes.

And when it’s time to chill, there’s a 20-metre swimming pool and a restaurant on-site — perfect for refuelling after a day of wild rides and water-fueled fun.

Another visitor wrote on TripAdvisor: “Best day ever! I’ve been coming here since I was little. It’s good to see how much they have invested in the park.

“When the sun is shining, it’s easily one of the best attractions in Devon because it is suitable for ages; I feel as a young adult there’s not much to do in the area that is exciting- but here everyone can have fun.

“The staff were quality as well, It’s a shame I didn’t get any of their names, but they are all a credit to the company. Hoping to return as soon as possible, I didn’t want to go home. Thank you, Quaywest, for a lovely day!”

Day tickets to Splashdown are £30 for adults (age nine and up), and tickets for children aged five to eight are £25, or four-hour tickets are also available for £17.
