Prince William and Princess Kate have made another subtle change to their social media accounts this week.

Before last weekend’s Remembrance events, Prince William, 42, and Princess Kate, 42, decided to change their profile pictures on their official @KensingtonRoyal X account and @princeandprincessofwales Instagram account to one of them at the Festival of Remembrance last year at the Royal Albert Hall.

The photo showed them standing up and wearing poppies to mark Remembrance Day. On X, formally known as Twitter, the header photo on the account had also been changed to a field of poppies.

However, following the weekend’s Remembrance events and the beginning of a new week, the future King and Queen have now changed these pictures back to the same ones that were in place before.

On Instagram, this is a picture of Prince William and Princess Kate holding hands and laughing while sitting on a picnic blanket. It was taken during their video to mark the end of the Princess of Wales’ chemotherapy treatment in September.

The same profile picture is used on their X account, with the header photo being one of the couple and their children hugging, another snapshot taken from the moving video released.

The same subtle change was made on the official Royal Family social media accounts, with the profile picture having previously been swapped to one of King Charles and Queen Camilla wearing poppies at a previous Remembrance ceremony.

This has now been changed back to one of King Charles, 75, and Queen Camilla, 77, with their arms around each other smiling.

Every year the social media accounts are tweaked for Remembrance Day as a sign of respect by the Royal Family.
