A stylist has revealed the real reason Meghan Markle may opt for her eye-catching red outfits.
According to a style expert, the Duchess of Sussex may be trying to embody strength and courage with her striking outfit choices.
Kate Jones, a stylist at House of Colour, told MailOnline: “The colour red traditionally represents power, opulence, passion and love. It’s bold and exciting, especially if worn top to toe.
“It tells your audience that you are a confident person who isn’t afraid to be noticed.
“Meghan would also be drawn to the colour because it represents strength and courage, characteristics I believe she is keen to project.”
For the One Young World summit in Manchester in 2022, the Duchess fashioned a £471 blouse and co-ordinating £514 trousers from the sustainable brand Another Tomorrow.
Meghan also recently rewore her £5,233 Carolina Herrera silk gown at a charity gala in Los Angeles, a look she debuted at the Salute to Freedom Gala in New York in 2021.
The stylist pointed out: “She does look fabulous in red; it illuminates her skin, helping it to sparkle and shine.”
At the Mountbatten Festival of Music in 2020, Meghan stunned crowds with a £1,295 caped scarlet dress by Safiyaa.
The theme of red goes back even to the days before Suits when she wore a red mini dress on the US version of TV game show Deal Or No Deal in 2006.
