Professional cleaners have recommended using an unconventional tool to help get rid of tough grime stains from oven glass. UK-based The Cleaning Ladies shared their method for an “easy” oven clean.
In a TikTok video from January, the professional cleaners tackled an oven door which had a build-up of tough stains. Armed with a tub of The Pink Stuff, a product touted as one of the holy grail multi-purpose cleaners, the cleaners recommended using an unusual product to help scrub: kitchen foil. Instead of using a sponge or a scourer, the experts opt for a sheet of tin foil scrunched into a ball.
To remove tough stains, dip the tin foil in The Pink Stuff – or the cleaning product of your choice.
Using the tin foil, scrub in a circular motion on the oven glass. Once the glass is covered, follow with a damp microfibre cloth to wipe any of the product off.
The tin foil can help budge tough stains in place of another cleaning utensil.
The video has been viewed over a massive 5.3 million times, receiving 116,200 likes and 724 comments.

While The Pink Stuff can effectively clean oven doors, it’s a mildly abrasive product and should be used with caution, especially on glass, to avoid scratching.
