Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned a strict “red line” he will not move from during a press conference on Wednesday morning. The wartime leader was speaking from Finland hours after Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin held a 90-minute call on Tuesday to discuss terms of a possible ceasefire.
The Russian and American leaders agreed to a 30-day stop of attacks on energy infrastructure in Ukraine. However, overnight, Russian drones and missiles were launched on sensitive targets in Ukraine including energy plants and hospitals. During the press conference, Mr Zelensky said: “The red line for us is if the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories will be considered Russian we will not agree to that.”
