Princess Anne was spotted at Cheltenham Festival again on Friday, but this time, she was accompanied by one of her exes and close friend, as well as Queen Camilla’s first husband, Andrew Parker Bowles. The Princess Royal looked regal, wearing a dark military-style coat while her hair was styled in her signature bouffant.

She was snapped at the royal box watching the races with Mr Parker Bowles, who she briefly dated in the past. In 1970, Anne and the British Army officer were dating each other each other, however, their romance was short-lived. Three years later, Mr Parker Bowles married then-Camilla Shand, whom he had known since the 1960s.

The couple divorced in 1995 and share two children, Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes.

But despite that, Anne and Andrew kept a close relationship through the years, being pictures many times together at various racing events.

On Friday, they were snapped concentrating as the races went on.

Mr Parker Bowles is also one of Anne’s daughter, Zara Tindall’s godfathers.

Zara is Anne’s eldest child, who she had with her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips.

The couple married in 1973 but divorced in 1992, before the Princess Royal married Sir Timothy Laurence, one of the late Queen Elizabeth’s former queries.

Author Bedell Smith wrote about Anne’s relationship with Andrew in her book Prince Charles: The Passions and Paradoxes of an Improbable Life: In the Shadow of the Throne.

She that because Andrew was a Catholic, he was “an unlikely candidate for marriage to a member of the Royal Family”.
