Reform UK has topped a new national opinion poll despite the bitter row over Rupert Lowe. Nigel Farage’s party was up one point to 27% in the survey by Find Out Now.
Labour is down one from the week before to 24%, while the Tories are unchanged on 21% in the poll of 2,686 British adults carried out on Wednesday. It comes on a week that has seen Reform at the centre of a civil war after Great Yarmouth MP Mr Lowe was suspended over allegations about his conduct, which he denies.
Reform has also seen support rise in polls by Opinium, JL Partners and More in Commons.
But the insurgent party has dipped in some, including a YouGov survey.
Mr Farage said: “It’s clear that the country is crying out for change and voters continue to see Reform as a credible choice for government.
“Our momentum keeps growing, our poll figures are surging and we’re on track to win hundreds of seats in May’s local elections.”
It comes after splits emerged in Reform last Thursday when Mr Lowe questioned Mr Farage’s leadership in an outspoken interview.
The former Brexit Party MEP suggested Reform remains a “protest party led by the Messiah” under Mr Farage.
He lost the party whip the next day amid allegations of office bullying and threats of violence against the party’s chairman, Zia Yusuf, which he reported to the police.
The former Southampton FC chairman, who denies the claims, has insisted his ousting was because he posed a threat to the leader.
