Meghan Markle has sent two newsletters to her As Ever subscribers and welcomed them to the “feeling of my home” as she shared details about her lifestyle brand’s products.
The Duchess of Sussex officially launched her As Ever brand earlier this week, just hours after her series With Love, Meghan dropped on Netflix.
In the first newsletter, titled “Welcome to As Ever” and sent out on March 4 – the date she launched the brand and Netflix show – Meghan welcomed her “dear friends” as she explained that the newsletters will be similar to the one she used to run when she worked on her now-defunct blog The Tig, back in 2014.
Meghan said that even though “much has changed since then, so much has stayed the same”.
She then went on to explain more about her brand, adding: “That’s what As ever means: as it’s always been, the same as always.
“With As ever, I trust you’ll feel this in every beat of what we’ve created. It is a line of products designed to make your everyday moments memories.”
The duchess also made a poignant statement about her past struggles to secure a name for her brand – which was renamed to As Ever from American Riviera Orchard.
She said: “Through every twist and turn as a founder, it has become something even sweeter.
“No matter how many eggs may break in the process, you can still end up with a pretty great omelette. Sometimes even better than you expected.”
In her second newsletter, titled “Find the magic in the moment” and sent out on March 5, the duchess told readers that “small yet meaningful moments of connection are where we can all find the magic in the everyday”.
She said: “When I think of the things I look forward to most, I usually find them in the unexpected, in the thoughtful gesture, in the small details that show care.”
Products advertised in the newsletter include shortbread cookie mix with flower sprinkles that “remind me of my time in England”, and crepe mix “inspired by my time visiting France as a student”.
She wrote: “Those small yet meaningful moments of connection are where we can all find the magic in the everyday.
“They say it’s the thought that counts, but I would go a step further – it’s the thought that counts the most.”
Meghan’s updated website revealed her first products were raspberry jam, and the flower sprinkles she repeatedly promotes throughout the show.
Her new eight-part series, which sees the former Suits actress give hosting tips and cooking with her celebrity friends, has been savaged by critics.
The Duke of Sussex makes just one appearance at the end of the final episode when he joins Meghan, her mother Doria Ragland and friends for an outdoor celebratory brunch.
