PS Plus March 2025 line-up contains a massive surprise worth £70

Dragon Age Veilguard may have divided gamers and sold below expectations, but nobody expected it to join the PS Plus Essentials line-up so soon after release.

However, despite only launching last October, Dragon Age Veilguard has just been announced for the PS Plus Essentials line-up in March 2025.

Available from March 4, Dragon Age Veilguard will be joined by Sonic Colours Ultimate and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection.

After a disappointing PlayStation Plus line-up in February, it’s a much stronger selection of PS4 and PS5 games, even if Veilguard isn’t quite the Dragon Age game we were hoping for.

It’s also currently priced at £70 on the PlayStation Store, which means PS Plus subscribers will make a decent saving by waiting until Veilguard joins the service.

Dragon Age Veilguard is an action RPG developed by BioWare. As such, fans expect branching storylines and dialogue choices, as well as the ability to romance other characters.

It all takes place in the world of Thedas, which is described as a “vibrant land of rugged wilderness, treacherous labyrinths, and glittering cities”.

The story itself revolves around the reappearance of a couple of ancient gods who are “hellbent on destroying the world”.

“Rise as Rook, Dragon Age’s newest hero,” reads the official description.

“Be who you want to be and play how you want to play as you fight to stop the gods from blighting the world.

“But you can’t do this alone – the odds are stacked against you. Lead a team of seven companions, each with their own rich story to discover and shape, and together you will become The Veilguard.”

In addition to Dragon Age Veilguard, Sonic Colours Ultimate will also join PS Plus in March.

The game features a new power-up called Wisps, which transform Sonic’s abilities. Wisps can be used to drill through the environment or reach higher platforms.

An exciting game for retro gaming fans, the third and final game is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection.

The collection contains 13 classic arcade and console games, complete with modern day upgrades like online play, saves and rewinds.

The games will replace Payday 3, High on Life and Pac-Man World Re-Pac on March 4.
