Portofino is a small town located on the Italian Rivera. The picturesque resort known for its colourfully painted buildings that line the shore, has been a renowed tourist destination for centuries – especially for the rich and famous.
And even the richest of richest was spotted enjoying a getaway there.
The Tesla CEO was found enjoying a meal with his teenage son Saxon, whilst his ex partner, singer and songwriter, Grimes was seen walking through the town with their son X.
There are many features that make Portofino the ideal choice for a tranquil getaway. According to the town’s official tourism website, Portofino is home to only 500 residents, that alone gives an insight at how peaceful the atmosphere must be.
Portofino is full of attractions and places that need to be explored and of course many activities to do. Taking a walk and having a look at the beautiful scenery is of course a must but there also some noteable sights that you should be sure to visit.
For example the remarkable Christ of the Abyss statue in the heart of the town’s marine park. The incredible bronze statue sits 17 metres deep underwater and is one of the most famous diving spots in the entire area.
Getting into the water not for you? Well the town has three stunning beaches – Niasca, Cannon Bay and Olivetta, where instead you can sit back and simply relax and enjoy the beauty of the view in front of you.
Besides water activities and the beaches, the town’s pretty streets are lined with boutiques, art galleries, cafes and resturants. If you don’t know where to start, there are a number of tours available to kick start your trip.
