Prince William’s “awesome” tie from a sustainable brand called Wilmok appeared to get everyone talking as he took part in a panel at Earthshot+ in Cape Town today, November 5.
Speaking at the United for Wildlife’s third Global Summit in Cape Town, the 42-year-old unveiled a radical package of support for rangers and other professionals who play a critical role in nature protection.
The future King’s speech came as the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) announced on Tuesday that their ranger Pte Olara Jonathan was killed during an encounter with armed poachers the day before.
Taking to X, one fan commented on the royal’s tie, writing: “NGL, that’s pretty awesome.”
Reflecting on the royal’s style, another commented: “[Prince William] has excellent Tie game. I approve!”

William landed in Cape Town on Monday, with the four-day visit taking place in honour of this year’s Earthshot Prize.
It has emerged that William will be wearing and showcasing sustainable clothing throughout his appearances this week.
The shirt he wore on his first engagement in Cape Town was by ECOALF – a Spanish sustainable fashion brand.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, @Remisagoodboy – who are known for documenting female members of the Royal Family’s fashion choices – appeared to give William an amusing nickname – ‘WillYum’.
One fan dubbed the royal “gorgeous” as the heir to the throne took time to speak with coaches attending the engagement.
Another commented: “Love that color. He’s so handsome. Hotness.”
