F1 announces 2025 race start times and there’s bad news for fans in Europe | F1 | Sport

F1 has released the start times for all 24 Grands Prix on the 2025 calendar, with some bad news for European fans. British fans will have to wake up at 4am for the season opener in Australia and the race in Las Vegas.

Early rises for these races are nothing new for European fans, who have a sweet real relative to fans around the rest of the globe, but a new start time for the Las Vegas Grand Prix will be a bitter blow. The race started at 6am UK time in 2024, but has been shifted back two hours.

Speaking to Motorsport.com about the change, a Las Vegas GP spokesperson said: “This adjustment is based on feedback, insights and experience from the first two races, expanding opportunities for fans to explore the destination and continuing to engage with more fans across the US. Details on the event and road closure schedules will be shared in the coming months.”

Aside from the Las Vegas GP in round 22 of the calendar, British fans’ morning starts will be confined to the opening trio of races. Australia’s brutal 4am lights-out time is followed by a 7am start time in China, and a 6am start in Japan.

While many British fans will rue the earlier starts of 2025, they won’t have to worry about too many late finishes. The Miami Grand Prix will get under way at 9pm in May, giving it the latest start time of the 24 events on this year’s schedule.

As for other notable start times, the British Grand Prix remains a 3pm start time in 2024, while the Monaco Grand Prix is also unaffected by changes, getting under way at 2pm. The season finale in Abu Dhabi will start at 1pm for British fans.
