The mum-of-two reportedly also wants the series to silence some of her critics and take away some of the negative press she has received since leaving the Royal Family in 2020 alongside her husband Prince Harry.
Speaking with OK! Magazine, the source said: “Meghan feels this show will be the perfect revenge for all her doubters and haters.
“She is so confident it’s going to do well and she will get the accolades she deserves for it, which will finally shut some people up. She can’t wait.
“She is riding high again and she’s so proud of this show. People tend to underestimate her, but Meghan knows what the audience wants and she is giving them that with this show.”
The insider also revealed that Meghan has not mentioned her royal connections in the upcoming show, something she has been criticised for over the years since her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The duchess has reportedly avoided mentioning them at all in the series, with her husband Prince Harry also set to appear only very few times.
Instead, Meghan wants to move away from her time as a royal and instead return to her passion for lifestyle content, which began before her marriage to Prince Harry when she was still an actress.
Royal commentator and journalist Afua Hagan told Express.co.uk: “She has always been interested in this kind of lifestyle content, she had her blog The Tig before she was the Duchess of Sussex when she was working on Suits.
“It’s something she has always had a passion for. This is that blog coming to life as it were.”
