EE broadband is perfect for gamers – and now it's even cheaper

Gamers – we all know that download speeds can be important, especially as AAA games are more than 100GB in size and can take hours to download. So in 2025, you might be looking to upgrade those speeds.

The good news is that EE has some great broadband deals for gamers who have been looking for their speeds. Starting from £32.99 a month, you can get up to 300mb/s download speeds for your games so you don’t need to be sitting twiddling their thumbs.

There are other alternatives that you can go for as well if you fancy paying a bit more. For an extra £2 a month, you can get 500mb/s download speeds which can rapidly improve your download speed. There is a £74.99 option for people who believe money isn’t an option but in our opinion, this is far too expensive and you should really avoid it and stick with cheaper options.

Remember: it’s not all about speed when it comes to super-speedy downloads. It’s important to note your distance from the router including the type of WiFi signal you have which can all affect the speed.

Another important thing to consider is that EE is not the cheapest broadband on the market. It can be very expensive if you have other less-known broadband companies available in your area. We suggest looking at Hyperoptic here that can have some great deals including three months free and you can enter your postcode here to see if you can get the offer.

EE doesn’t have the best reviews when it comes to Trustpilot either with a 1.8 stars out of five stars. One reviewer said: “I’ve been with EE for six years now, and I can’t praise them enough. The service has been consistently exceptional, and I haven’t encountered any issues during my time with them. The customer support is always excellent, and the network coverage is reliable.”

However others have slammed EE as being unreliable. One reviewer added: “Avoid at all costs. Sent the wrong equipment and despite over 2 hours on the phone in 4 separate calls I have been repeatedly lied to and I am no closer to receiving the equipment I am currently paying for.”

As we mentioned before, there are alternatives like Hyperoptic which is handing out three free months to new customers. For £29 a month, you can get 500mb/s download speeds but not everyone can get the service whereas most households should be able to get EE. Make sure you check your postcode on Hyperoptic and EE to see which deal suits you the best.
