Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now in a “difficult” position after being on the receiving end of some scathing remarks, it has been claimed.
Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, are said to be trying to find a balance between the entertainment world and their humanitarian work – which has been deemed as a challenge for them in the present time.
Speaking of Harry and Meghan, who were recently pictured consoling those affected by the wildfires and met with emergency workers in Los Angeles, GB News royal correspondent Cameron Walker said: “It is difficult for Meghan and Harry trying to find their place in the world.
“Are they media entertainment personalities or are they going to be humanitarian workers? I think at the moment, they are straddling those two different worlds and they are trying to find their place within it.”
As well as meeting those affected by the wildfires, Meghan and Harry are known to have met Victor Gordo – the city’s mayor – and emergency workers tackling the Eaton Fire.
The wildfires have caused devastation across almost 14,000 acres, damaging thousands of buildings and structures and – as of this morning – tragically killing 11 people.
Meghan and Harry – who live in Montecito with their two children – were pictured hugging evacuees of the wildfires on January 10. They were seen to be on hand serving meals those who had fled from their homes.
Taking to X, Justine wrote: “Meghan Markle and Harry are no better than ambulance chasers. What a repulsive ‘photo op’ they achieved. They are ‘touring the damage’? Are they politicians now? They don’t live here; they are tourists. Disaster Tourists.”
Amid the devastation caused by the LA wildfires, Netflix and Meghan have both announced the decision to postpone the launch of her new series, With Love, Meghan.
Eight-part series With Love, Meghan was originally scheduled to air on January 15 – but has now been delayed until March 4.
Meghan has issued a statement on the delay, which read: “I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California.”
