Zara and Mike Tindall willing to ‘step up’ for Prince William | Royal | News

Zara and Mike Tindall are ready to “step up” if they are called upon to do so by Prince William, one expert has claimed.

The couple, who are currently in Australia for the 2025 Magic Millions events, are often deemed firm favourites among royal fans and have seen their popularity skyrocket in recent years.

Commenting on their unique position within the Firm, royal expert Jennie Bond recently told GB News: “Although they don’t have titles, they obviously have the cachet of being so much part of the extended Royal Family. They have managed to use that commercially without getting into too much bother.”

Stating that the couple have “the very best of both worlds”, Jennie shared that the pair are unlikely to want more involvement – but will be willing to “step up” on one condition.

She said: “They are both very close to William, and if he calls on them again (as he did at a garden party last year), they will definitely agree.”

Clarifying that this support would not extend to official working roles, Ms Bond added: “Not to an official working role, nor do I think the public would want to fund any more working royals.”

Praising the couple’s genuine connection after seeing pictures of them at events in Australia, Ms Bond said: “Zara really is a remarkably beautiful woman, no wonder Mike always looks so proud and happy.

“The feeling is mutual: she oozes love for her big bear of a rugby star husband, with his crooked nose and rugged appeal.”

Speaking further about the couple, who live on Princess Anne’s Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire, Jennie added: “I think we all enjoy seeing them out and about together, usually arm in arm or having a cuddle – living life to the full.”

Zara, 43, recently narrowly escaped injury after a horse reared up and landed on her during a photoshoot in Australia.

The near-miss incident occurred during a photoshoot on the Gold Coast, where Zara was seen posing in front of three horses—all of which had jockeys on them.

As Zara stands smiling, suddenly, one of the horses lurches forward and comes down hard on her shoulder. She is then pushed to the side and can be seen visibly shaken up as the jockey tries to regain control of the animal.
