DAZN’s “Inside the Ring” is getting a new host.

The platform shared Tuesday that Mario Lopez, of “Saved By the Bell” and “Extra” fame, will be taking over the role as the host of “Inside the Ring” for its second season.

Host Max Kellerman and analyst LeSean McCoy will not be returning as part of the show’s reshaping, Front Office Sports reported.

Boxing insider Mike Coppinger announced Monday that he would return to the show, and that it will stream twice a week on DAZN Boxing and Ring Magazine’s YouTube pages. Total Boxing reported last week that Turki Alalshikh has agreed to sell a controlling piece of Ring Magazine to DAZN.

Coppinger and a rotating panel of analysts will join Lopez on the show. The second season of “Inside the Ring” will premiere Thursday.

Lopez has a background in boxing, having trained for several years at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Boxing Club near Los Angeles, often sharing clips of his progress on social media. He has also been a longtime host of “The 3 Knockdown Rule” podcast with Ring Magazine’s Steve Kim, and served as a guest color commentator on several boxing events.

Lopez hosted “Extra” from 2007-19 and starred as A.C. Slater in “Saved By the Bell,” most recently in its 2020 reboot.

Kellerman will remain in his role calling matches for Zuffa Boxing, a collaboration between the Saudi Public Investment Fund and TKO. Kellerman, who replaced Skip Bayless on “First Take” in 2016, was laid off by ESPN in 2023.

His first broadcasting appearance after his departure from the network was in September 2025, where he provided commentary on the Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford fight broadcast on Netflix.
