A cache of counterfeit Adidas, Nike and other brand-name streetwear worth a combined $10 million was discovered inside a warehouse in Arcadia, authorities said.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said its Counterfeit and Piracy Enforcement Team (CAPE) raided the commercial warehouse on the 11600 block of Goldring Road on Aug. 25 after federal border inspectors intercepted a suspicious shipment at a port of entry.
During the raid, officers seized nearly 26,000 fake items with an estimated estimated retail value of $10 million. Photos released by the department show cardboard boxes crammed with knockoff Nikes and Adidas shoes and Fear of God ESSENTIALS apparel.
Investigators have not released details about where the shipment originated from or who sent it.
“There were no arrests made at the time of the search warrant, and the suspect who owns the business remains outstanding,” the Sheriff’s Department said in a social media post Tuesday. “The investigation into the business remains ongoing.”
Over the past year, the department has raided about 25 locations and seized up to $25 million in counterfeit goods.
Investigators warn that fraudsters are also making fake versions of everyday items like laundry detergent, dog food, and pet medicine, which can be dangerous to use.
“The CAPE Team actively monitors events where counterfeit products are commonly offered for sale, most recently including the 2026 World Cup events held in Los Angeles,” the department added.
