The Knicks are now the hunted, not the hunters. They are the standard that opponents are trying to surpass.
In building much of their current roster, the Knicks used their Eastern Conference foes — particularly the Celtics — as a blueprint for what was needed. Now it’s the Knicks that represent the blueprint other teams are trying to combat.
