Marv Albert says this Knicks group reminds him of past title teams

SAN ANTONIO — Marv Albert sees the parallels.

Albert, who was the voice of the Knicks from 1967 to 2004, had an up-close look at the two Knicks championship teams in 1970 and ’73.

And he sees many of their qualities in this year’s squad.

“It’s very much similar,” Albert said in an interview with The Post. “That team was very unselfish. And it started in the backcourt with Clyde [Frazier] and Dick Barnett. Clyde was essential, Willis [Reed] was tremendous, then he got hurt, of course, in the Finals and then had that dramatic return. Didn’t play much, but the Knick team went on. Bill Bradley was one of the most unselfish players, same with Dave DeBusschere. So, there are similarities there.”
