Tensions were running hot at Watkins Glen.
During a race on Sunday in upstate New York, drivers Bubba Wallace and Christopher Bell were at each other’s throats at Go Bowling at The Glen on Mother’s Day.
Bell appeared to be the calmer of the two as Wallace was visibly upset, walked away, and then came back for more and got into Bell’s face as crew members and technicians watched on.

The issue appears to be tied to Wallace being called to pit road as Bell and driver Todd Gilliland were on his bumper with eight laps to go.
A miscommunication while in pit row, as Bell pulled alongside Wallace appeared to be the source of frustration.
Wallace wound up finishing 29th, while Bell finished 21st.
Next week, the two will head to the NASCAR All-Star Race at Dover Motor Speedway.
Wallace rides the No. 23 Toyota for 23XI Racing, while Bell drives the No. 20 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing.
The two are separated by just two points in the overall standings, with Wallace currently placed 10th and Bell sitting at 11th.

Trackhouse Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen won the road race at Watkins Glen from the pole position.
“We weren’t very good in practice, and then qualifying was amazing, and then today, what a race car,” van Gisbergen said. “And then (crew chief) Stephen (Doran) made great calls. I wasn’t sure how it was going to work, and then to run them down like that, it’s very, very special to do two in a row.”
