King Charles hosted his annual pre-Christmas lunch yesterday at Buckingham Palace for the Royal Family.
While some senior royals such as Prince William and Princess Kate were not in attendance, plenty of other royals attended the festive meal including Duchess Sophie, Prince Edward, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.
Although royal fans were quick to notice the most senior royals, other members of the Royal Family were also in attendance, with many not knowing who they are.
This includes Flora and Timothy Vesterberg, who arrived for the pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace on foot.
While many outside the Palace gates didn’t batter an eyelid, Flora is actually the granddaughter of Princess Alexandra, who was the cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
As a non-working royal, Flora is only ever seen at significant royal events and spends the majority of her time living an ordinary life as a London-based art consultant.
The 30-year-old, who is the only daughter of James Ogilvy, Princess Alexandra’s son, was also able to enjoy a childhood out of the spotlight, with the Daily Mail reporting that she grew up in a 1780s country house on Scotland’s East coast.
She then attended the Rugby School where she studied English, French and Fine Art at A-level, before studying at the University of Bristol where she graduated with a degree in Art History.
Flora then went on to get a Master’s degree from The Courtauld Institute of Art, which she has used in her career as an art curator, speaker, lecturer, and writer.
As well as this, the royal is an Ambassador of the Young Patrons’ Circle of the Victoria and Albert Museum and Co-chair of the Art History Link-Up Young Patrons’ Committee, and has even founded the art website Arteviste.
Despite growing up in Scotland, Flora has set up home in London with Swedish husband Timothy Vesterberg, who works as a director of a private equity investment firm.
The couple married at St James’s Palace in 2020 during the Coronavirus pandemic and a year later had a marriage blessing, which was attended by fellow royals such as Prince Edward, Duchess Sophie and Lady Gabriella Windsor.
Both Flora and Timothy were among a number of royal relatives to attend the pre-Christmas lunch on Thursday, with her grandmother Princess Alexandra also in attendance.
