Just days before the NFL draft, one of the top wide receiver prospects has been arrested on two possible misdemeanor charges.

Former USC and Georgia wide receiver Zachariah Branch, a consensus Day 2 pick in the draft, faces misdemeanor charges of obstructing public sidewalks/streets, prowling and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

Branch was arrested Sunday in Athens, Georgia, booked at 1:26 a.m. and released at 3:44 a.m. after posting a $39 bond.

Based on reports in Georgia, Branch was in Athens to watch his brother Zion, a safety for the Bulldogs, during their spring game Saturday.

A native of Las Vegas, where he was a prep star at Bishop Gorman High, Branch is the great-nephew of legendary Raiders Hall of Fame wide receiver Cliff Branch.

The Raiders, coached by Klint Kubiak, have shown interest in Branch during the draft process and brought him to Las Vegas for a top-30 visit. He is among a handful of wide receiver prospects the Raiders are considering.

Branch played two seasons at USC in 2023 and 2024 before transferring to Georgia last year. In his one season in Athens, he had 81 catches for 811 yards. He also averaged 20.5 yards on 10 kickoff returns and 12 yards on 15 punt returns.
