These cops had to grin and bear it!
New Jersey State Police made a heartwarming rescue when inexplicably finding an “adorable” bear cub all alone in a busy highway ditch.
Troopers from Troop “B” Perryville Station responded to a highly unusual call on Wednesday, shortly after 1:30 p.m. on reports of a bear cub spotted seemingly stuck in a roadside ditch on I-78 East in Union Township.
The pocket-sized cub was swiftly saved by the troopers from the busy highway and safely transported back to the police barracks.

Adorable photos released by state police on its Facebook page show the un-bear-ably cute cub snuggling up with a trooper, who is visibly beaming with excitement.
The tiny brown bear was also pictured in a police cruiser, appearing to play a game of hide-and-seek.
The cub was later released to the state Department of Environmental Protection for proper care and attention.

People flocked to the comments section on the police’s Facebook post, sharing their thoughts on the touching rescue.
“Picked up on I-78 for suspicious levels of adorable,” one woman wrote.
“This will be the Trooper’s favorite call of his entire career,” wrote another.
