Where Tarik Skubal, Garrett Crochet, Max Fried stand

There aren’t any surprises at the top of the American League Cy Young odds board.

After winning the award in each of the last two seasons, Tigers ace Tarik Skubal is a heavy +240 (FanDuel Sportsbook) to go back-to-back-to-back in 2026.

Skubal, who controversially left Team USA after just one World Baseball Classic start earlier this month, would join Greg Maddux and Randy Johnson as the only pitchers to ever win the award in three straight seasons.

He’ll have some big competition in the Red Sox’s Garrett Crochet (+350), who nearly stole the award from Skubal with a late surge last season.

The two southpaws are far and away the two biggest favorites in the market.

Here’s a look at the full list at FanDuel.

Yankees ace Max Fried (13/1) is expected to contend for the award after finishing fourth in the voting last year, his first in the Bronx.

Former Mets star Jacob deGrom (14/1) is looking to win his third career Cy Young award after a bounce-back 2025 season.

A trio of Mariners starters — Bryan Woo, Logan Gilbert, and George Kirby — are all between 17/1 and 20/1.

But they will have to out-pitch Skubal, who posted a career-best 2.21 ERA with 241 strikeouts across 31 starts for Detroit last year.

Barring a surprising extension, Skubal will enter free agency next winter when he is expected to receive a record-breaking deal for a pitcher.
