Prepare to strut.

Stray Cats just announced a summer tour that will send the rockabilly legends to 15 theaters, performing arts centers, fairs, casinos and more all over the U.S. from late July through mid-August.

That includes not one, not two but three (!) shows in New York and New Jersey for Brian Setzer and co. They’re scheduled to take place at:

NYCB Theatre
Westbury, NY
Friday, Aug. 14

Ocean Casino Resort
Atlantic City, NJ
Saturday, Aug. 15

Mayo Center for the Performing Arts
Morristown, NJ
Sunday, Aug. 16

These gigs come after Stray Cats had to cancel their 2025 run due to Setzer’s serious illness.

“It’s good to be healthy and strong again,” Setzer, 66, shared via Instagram. There’s something about the unique sound of The Stray Cats that keeps drawing me in. The Gretsch guitar, the acoustic bass, and the stand-up drums still sound pure and fresh today. Come on out and have some fun with us this summer.”

On their most recent outing in ’24 — the group’s first since 2019 — they regularly performed 20-21 songs per show, according to Set List FM.

Notable tracks that made their way to the stage included fan favorites “Rock This Town,” “Stray Cat Strut,” “Runaway Boys,” “Rumble in Brighton” and “Built For Speed” among others.

“All three band members were in fine form, with singer/guitarist Brian Setzer making numerous hometown references (as they originated in the Long Island suburb of Massapequa), even repping their hometown in their stage gear, and generally seeming delighted the entire time,” Under The Radar Mag wrote in a review of their August 2024 concert in New York City.

“…this was a wonderful night of music and a reminder of why any rockabilly fan shouldn’t miss Stray Cats on the relatively rare occasions when they come around.”

Stray Cats new music

On Oct. 24, 2025, Stray Cats released a pair of singles.

Up first is “Stampede.” Right out the gate, the revved-up tune lives up to its name by putting the pedal to the metal and then refusing to let go over the course of its nearly three-minute runtime. This one’s a euphoric gas that’ll get you on your feet in no time.

After that fiery ditty, “Teenage Heaven” slows things down a bit. Jubilant but mellow, we expect slow dancers to hold their baby tight while listening to this starry-eyed sock hop bop.

If you’d like to hear them both, you can find “Stampede” and “Teenage Heaven” here.
