Man, 27, fatally shot in back of head in apparently targeted attack at NYCHA building: cops, sources

A 27-year-old man was fatally shot in the back of the head in an apparently targeted attack inside a Bronx housing project building early Friday, cops and sources said. 

The victim was slain execution-style at around 6:35 a.m. inside the Forest Houses NYCHA building on East 165th Street near Tinton Avenue in Morrisania, police said. 

He was rushed in critical condition to Lincoln Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries, cops said.

The victim had an “interaction” with the two suspects before the shooting, which was not believed to be random, the sources said. 

Both male suspects were last seen wearing all black with hoods, and one was spotted wearing a backpack, law enforcement sources said. 

Neither had been caught by Friday afternoon, according to police.
