NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch on Friday said she “will not tolerate any attacks on my cops, period” — after Mayor Zohran Mamdani and District Attorney Alvin Bragg dismissed the punks who tossed icy snowballs at officers as nothing more than pranksters.

“When you wear this uniform and uphold those standards, you deserve to be treated with respect,’’ Tisch told a group of cops at a promotion ceremony.

“The vast majority of New Yorkers know that they have deep appreciation, perhaps, as individuals and for policing in general, don’t allow the loudest voices in the room to erode the pride that you have in wearing the uniform and in protecting this city.

“One thing that you can count on with me is this, I will hold this department to the highest standards,’’ she said.

“When those standards are met, I will always be fiercely protective of you, and as you’ve seen recently, I certainly will not tolerate any attacks on my cops, period.”

Several cops were hurt — including two who had to go to the hospital for treatment — when they were attacked with ice-filled snowballs during an out-of-control, massive snowball fight in Washington Square Park in Manhattan on Monday.

The suspect, Gusmane Coulibaly of the Bronx, was charged with assault on an officer, obstruction of governmental administration and disorderly conduct. AP

Tisch at the time called the attack “criminal” — but the socialist mayor said it was just child’s play by “kids.”
One of those “kids” was arrested Thursday — and turned out to be a 27-year-old man who had already been busted earlier this month for alleged attempted robbery in the subway.

The suspect, Gusmane Coulibaly of the Bronx, was charged with assault on an officer, obstruction of governmental administration and disorderly conduct — only to have Bragg’s office then refuse to pursue the cop-assault rap.

The other charges against Coulibaly were downgraded to harassment and obstruction of governmental administration as a second-degree violation and misdemeanor, respectively.

Cops are still hunting other attackers.
