What our Post expert thinks about men’s Olympic hockey

Canada remains Kalshi’s favorite to win the gold medal, owning a 50 percent chance on “Yes” contracts. The United States trails at 46 percent.

Both teams earned bids into the semifinals with triumphant overtime wins over Czechia and Sweden, respectively.

Connor McDavid leads the Olympic scoring race with 11 points in four games, setting the tone for a Canadian roster stacked with elite finishers, including Macklin Celebrini (tied for second with nine points) and Nathan MacKinnon (tied for ninth with six).

The United States doesn’t have the same scoring volume with Auston Matthews and Quinn Hughes sharing the team lead with six points, but different players are chipping in for clutch moments; Hughes delivered the overtime dagger against Sweden.
