Sammie is still going strong.

“Sinners” star and ageless wonder Buddy Guy just announced his 2026 ‘Buddy Guy 90 Tour’ in support of his recently-released 20th studio album ‘Ain’t Done with the Blues.’

While out and about, the 89-year-old bluesman — he turns 90 on July 30, fyi — is slated to make four New York and New Jersey stops. They go down at:

Kleinhan’s Music Hall
Buffalo, NY
Saturday, July 18

Ocean Resort Casino
Atlantic City, NJ
Friday, July 31

Bergen Performing Arts Center
Englewood, NJ
Tuesday, Aug. 4

State Theatre
New Brunswick, NJ
Saturday, Aug. 8

“Muddy Waters and BB King, I knew ’em before they passed away, and they told me, ‘Man, if you outlive me, just try to keep the blues alive.’ So it just makes me feel good to see something that is letting people know a little more about it,” Guy shared on Instagram.

These shows come in the wake of the Louisiana native’s ‘Damn Right Farewell Tour.’ According to Set List FM, he paid respects to the aforementioned Muddy Waters as well as Cream, Al Green, John Hiatt and many more.

“At 88, I wondered if he might just make a brief appearance—maybe join the band for a few songs. But what unfolded was nothing short of remarkable,” Cleve Rock wrote in a review of a June 2025 Cleveland gig.

“[He] didn’t just show up—he owned the stage from start to finish. His stage presence was magnetic, the mark of a man who has lived a lifetime in front of crowds. His guitar work was sharp, expressive, and full of soul, not at all what one might expect from someone his age…[Guy] didn’t just perform—he electrified Jacobs Pavilion.”

Buddy Guy new music

On July 30, 2025 (aka Guy’s 89th birthday), Buddy Guy dropped his 20th studio album “Ain’t Done With The Blues,” which features household names like Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton and Joe Bonamassa.

Over 18 tracks, the nine-time Grammy winner more than proves he has gas left in the tank on tunes like the muscly anthem “Been There Done That,” down and dirty “Blues Chase The Blues Away,” playful ditty “Trick Bag,” twangy “Talk To Your Daughter” and downright giddy toe-tapper “Where U At.”

However, the true standout here just might be the electric “I Got Sumpin’ For You” that will knock you down flat with its groovy hook that you won’t be able to shake for week.s

To hear for yourself, you can find “Ain’t Done With The Blues” here.
