
The group round of the Winter Olympics women’s ice hockey tournament continues this afternoon with Canada vs. Czech Republic.
Canada’s tournament got started later than anticipated as their expected game one opponents, Finland, were sidelined with norovirus spreading around the team. The Canadian women played their first match on Saturday, Feb. 7, and won 4-0 over Switzerland. The offense got to work quickly, with four different goal scorers, and the Canadian defense held the Swiss to just six shots on goal.

Czech Republic are 1-1 after two games. They opened the tournament with a 5-1 loss to the United States, then shut Finland out 2-0 in their second match.
