California police arrested a man and a teenage boy in the senseless shooting death of 14-year-old high school football star Jeremy “Tank” Rosales.”
Abel Ramirez, 27, and an unidentified 16-year-old were busted and slapped with murder charges weeks after the two allegedly gunned down Jeremy near his home in Victorville on the night of Jan. 16, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said,
The pair were cuffed Monday – with the accused killer teen now being held at High Desert Juvenile Detention Center and Ramirez locked up at High Desert Detention Center on $1 million bail, officials said.
Jeremy was shot and killed in Glen Canyon Lane and Burwood Avenue with few details of what led up to the shooting released by authorities in its aftermath.
Deputies said they were called to the scene at about 8:21 p.m. and found the 14-year-old alive but badly wounded. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but later died, cops said.
Jeremy was a dedicated football player at Team Elite Sports Academy and excelled academically at Oak Hills High School, friends said.
A GoFundMe page created to help his family cover funeral expenses described Rosales as “more than a football player.”
