A Georgia mom allegedly killed her 3-month-old son by filling his baby bottle with alcohol, according to authorities and reports.
Omayrilin Colon, 37, was arrested last Thursday and booked in the Fulton County Jail on murder and cruelty to children charges in connection with the death of her infant son in October, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

Colon’s child, Nova, was discovered unconscious in his home in northwest Atlanta on Oct. 15, 2025, with no obvious physical injuries. The baby was pronounced dead a short time later at the hospital, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by 11Alive.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office determined the infant’s blood alcohol level was a whopping 0.179, which is over twice the legal limit of intoxication for a driver aged 21 years or older, the affidavit revealed.
Colon allegedly told investigators during an interview that she did not give her baby alcohol, maintaining she fed him a half bottle of formula, the outlet reported.

However, the medical examiner and emergency rooms determined that alcohol from the infant’s bottle caused Nova’s death, documents showed. The child’s death was ultimately ruled a homicide, police said.
Colon waived her appearance at a court hearing last Friday, where a judge ordered her held without bond, according to WSB-TV.
