TalkTV presenter Jeremy Kyle addressed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s return to the UK. It will be the first time in four years the Duchess of Sussex, 44, will set foot on British soil. Meghan will be in Birmingham on July 10 at the one-year countdown party for the Invictus Games, with the official sporting event held in 2027. But the planned summer trip is reportedly dependent upon the outcome of their taxpayer-funded security review. It would be her first time back in the UK since attending Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022.
Jeremy spoke to royal TV expert Kinsey Schofield who suggested Prince William has a trick up his sleeve in a bid to ease tensions with Harry and Meghan amid his fragile relationship with the Sussexes. She explained: “There were also reports over the weekend that Prince William had hired a crisis manager described as ‘bulletproof sunshine’ by her old boss.
“It’s reportedly surrounding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor but I would say, that perhaps, he is concerned Prince Harry will have more of a presence in the UK and this is him being prepared for whatever that means.”
The Prince of Wales has hired a crisis management expert as the royal family navigates Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s fall from grace and the fractured relationship with the Sussexes.
Liza Ravenscroft has been hired to help ride the wave of scrutiny the monarchy is currently facing.
“This is [Prince William] trying to be prepared for whatever that means,” Kinsey went on. “I told you last week, I really feel Harry’s objective is to set up a rival court.”
She continued: “Does he want to be the next king? I don’t think so. But he uses his royal status commercially here in the States.
“So it’s important that he looks like he has proximity to the British Royal Family. And faking a royal over in the UK that’s the easiest way to do that.”
Jeremy declared: “William won’t have it,” adding he believed Harry wants to reconcile with King Charles before his brother takes the throne.
Ravenscroft has been recruited from communications company Edelman, where she runs the UK Crisis & Issues team, working “arm in arm with big names facing their toughest times.
It has been a challenging time for the royals in recent months, with Princess Kate and King Charles’s respective cancer diagnoses, the late Queen’s death and Prince Harry and Meghan’s speaking out on their issues with the monarchy.
But it’s Andrew’s scandals which have caused the most upheaval with his friendship to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
