Emergency services including armed police officers have swarmed a residential street in Edinburgh. A police cordon was erected in Drum Brae Drive, near Clermiston Drive, on Tuesday, January 13. An eyewitness alleged that a man was stabbed, as per EdinburghLive. 

Armed police remain on scene and have reportedly entered a house on Brum Brae DrivePhotos coming from the area show the police tape cordon with roughly a dozen officers present, while emergency vehiclees bloock the streets. The anonymous witness told the outlet: “When I was driving up the road I saw a man with a massive slash across his face, he was drenched in blood.

“He looked to be in his early 40s with grey hair. It looked really bad and serious.

“Police stopped people from going up and down.” 

Another added: “I came down the street and they taped the road just from from Clermiston Drive.

“You can see armed response outside a property that’s been cordoned off. I can see them with what appears to be police riot shields outside a property.

“There are about 10 police vehicles downs stretch of Drum Brae Drive and about a dozen police officers.”

Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
