Suits actor rips into ‘shameless’ BBC regular in furious Meghan Markle row | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Meghan Markle is set to return to acting eight years after she quit Hollywood to become a working royal. The Duchess of Sussex is now set to star in a new film alongside Lily Collins, Brie Larson and Jack Quaid. The 44-year-old is best known for her role as Rachel Zane in the hit US TV-drama Suits, but also had Hollywood roles in Horrible Bosses, Get Him To The Greek and Remember Me. Meghan’s former Suits co-star, Wendell Pierce, has come to her defence as he ripped into regular GB News and BBC commentator and royal biographer Angela Levin, who reacted to the news. Taking to X on November 6, the author claimed Meghan was viewed as “demanding and difficult” on the Suits set.

Angela tweeted: “Meghan won’t love being told what to do by any producer. Suits actors found her ‘difficult, demanding and rude’ and she was only a starter then.” The Duchess of Sussex played Rachel Zane for seven seasons from 2011 until 2018. She left the show shortly before marrying Prince Harry.

Wendell, who played Robert Zane in Suits and the father of Meghan in the series, ripped into the royal commentator’s claim.

In a furious tweet, he hit back: “You have no idea what you are talking about@angelalevin1.”

The A-list actor went on to claim Angela as a “gossip monger” who wants to profit off of the duchess.

Wendell went on: “Meghan was a kind, giving, and talented artist who I enjoyed working with for years. You Angela are a shameless hack. I’m more mad at myself for allowing you to get under my skin. I’ll focus this anger on the friendship that Meghan and I have and the fond memories I have from working on SUITS. Her grace is something you know nothing about.”
