Sarah Ferguson is already planning a comeback as she loses her Duchess of York title and finally separates from ex-husband Andrew.According to reports, she has held talks with a “brand rescue team” in the hope she can restore her reputation after emails between herself and paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein emerged.
The emails, from 2011, showed the former Duchess of York calling Epstein a “supreme friend” and apologising for calling him a paedophile.
Andrew also lost his titles and is set to leave Royal Lodge along with Sarah, as he continues to face pressure over his friendship with Epstein and allegations he had sex with Virginia Giuffre when she was 17 – allegations Andrew has always denied.
As reported by The Sun, Sarah’s new brand advisers work with some of the biggest brands.
Sarah is also being encouraged by daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie to mount a comeback, it has been reported.
She has also reportedly told her brand advisers that she wants to be a leader in the “female positivity world”.
A source told The Sun: “Sarah has always been a grafter and a hard worker and always finds ways of making money and getting out of a hole.
“She has expensive tastes and massive outgoings, but always found a way to make ends meet.
“Calls from brands may go unanswered right now, but she is still Sarah Ferguson and still a big name.”
Following the emergence of Sarah’s email correspondence with Epstein, the former Duchess of York lost a string of patronages and was also axed from ITV’s Loose Women.
It then emerged that Andrew and Sarah had hosted Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and disgraced Hollywood director Harvey Weinstein at Royal Lodge in 2006 for Princess Beatrice’s 18th birthday party – two months after a US arrest warrant had been issued for Epstein for the sexual assault of a minor.
Sarah and Andrew married in 1986 and divorced in 1996. However, they remained good friends with Sarah moving into Royal Lodge in 2008.
After the divorce, Sarah published her memoir, Sarah: My Story, which sold 1.5 million copies..
Following the success of her memoir, she penned a children’s book series – Budgie the Little Helicopter – which sold 50,000 copies in less than two weeks.
