Fackham Hall release date has been confirmed but there's a catch

The uproarious trailer for Fackham Hall has been released by film company Bleecker Street, causing quite a stir among viewers.

This star-studded film marks the screenwriting debut of Jimmy Carr, alongside Patrick Carr and The Dawson Brothers.

The plot centres around pick-pocket Eric Noone who, after moving into the eponymous manor house, finds himself framed for murder.

Esteemed British actor Ben Radcliffe takes on the role of Eric, while Thomasin McKenzie, known for her role in Leave No Trace, plays Rose Davenport, with whom Eric shares a forbidden love affair.

Harry Potter’s Tom Felton portrays Archibald, and Jimmy Carr also steps in front of the camera to play a vicar.

Fackham Hall is a tongue-in-cheek take on beloved period dramas such as Downton Abbey and Gosford Park, and was filmed in the scenic county of Yorkshire.

However, UK fans may be disheartened to learn that there is currently no official UK release date.

As it stands, the film has only been given a US release date and will hit American cinemas on 5 December.

The hilarious trailer features acclaimed actress Anna Maxwell Martin and begins with the Davenports participating in a shooting game.

Damian Lewis, playing Lord Davenport, is seen taking down a fox and deer from the sky.

Following the murder, Tom Goodman-Hill makes his entrance as the clumsy Inspector Watt.

Carr’s character, with his unfortunate timing, has left audiences in stitches.

One viewer, @ArwenUndomiel406, commented on the trailer: “Jimmy Carr as the priest? Oh this is gonna be brutal!”

Twitter user @camez2345 wrote: “My stomach hurts a little from giggling. Can’t wait to see this!”

Meanwhile, @bartonbella3131 chimed in: “This looks so good. Hopefully a return to real comedy!”

Fackham Hall will air in US cinemas on December 5
