Jannik Sinner confirmed he is in a relationship with model and influencer Laila Hasanovic as he sent a message to her after clinching the Vienna Open title. The Italian got the better of Alexander Zverev in Austria to win his fourth title of the year.

Sinner was in inspired form in Vienna as he defeated Daniel Altmaier, Flavio Cobolli, Alexander Bublik and Alex de Minaur without dropping a set to reach the showpiece match. But he lost the opening set against Zverev before bouncing back to win the match in three sets.

After securing the win, Sinner said: “To my team… I have to speak in English. Thank you so much for the support. The work you put in, the effort…

“Also to understand me at times is not easy, but thank you for putting in the effort.

“Everyone here, with family, my girlfriend, friends. To my whole team and also those watching at home. Thank you so much for the support.”

Sinner and Hasanovic reportedly started dating earlier this year, with the Danish model being spotted in the player’s box during the French Open and Wimbledon.

Hasanovic used to be in a relationship with Mick Schumacher, the son of F1 legend Michael Schumacher. But the couple reportedly went their separate ways earlier this year.

And Hasanovic, who has her own YouTube page, has racked up nearly 400,000 followers on Instagram, offering her followers a glimpse of her life by posting a string of glamourous photos.

“It feels amazing,” Sinner said after getting the better of Zverev. “It was such a difficult start for me. I tried to stick in there mentally, trying to play my best tennis when it counts.

“It has been such a special week. It is always the highlight of my calendar to come and play here in Vienna.”

And Zverev explained: “I would like to congratulate Jannik Sinner, whose level has been off the charts for these last two years. For me, he is currently the best player in the world. This week, he was simply the best player in Vienna.”

Sinner, who won the titles at this year’s Australian Open and Wimbledon, will be eyeing more glory at the final ATP 1000 event of the season this week in Paris, where he will meet either Alex Michelsen or Zizou Bergs in his opening match. The world No. 2 will then head to Turin for the ATP Finals, which get underway a week on Sunday.
