Meghan Markle has sparked major speculation about her brand As Ever’s future after she made an appearance described as “strategic” alongside a PR mogul closely linked to the Kardashians. Attending a dinner event in Los Angeles, Meghan, 44, was pictured alongside Emma Grede – who is behind Kim Kardashian’s Skims brand and Khloe Kardashian’s apparel brand Good American.
The event was celebrating women “owning their power” and helping “each other get s**t done”. Emma took to Instagram to share a couple of pictures and videos from the evening’s event, alongside the caption, “Not my typical Wednesday after work”. Emma also shared some behind-the-scenes footage that showed Meghan’s As Ever 2024 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc flowing at the event.
Meghan previously appeared on Emma’s podcast Aspire back in June, with the former working royal discussing the future of As Ever.
The mum-of-two also recently appeared at Paris Fashion Week, which fuelled speculation over her brand – and whether she may be planning a move into the fashion world.
PR guru Chad Teixeira has said that Meghan and Emma’s relations could be the royal’s way of leaning on her years of expertise.
He told the Mirror: “Meghan Markle’s appearance at Emma Grede’s Los Angeles dinner series is far too strategic to be a coincidence.
“The timing is significant and there’s growing speculation that Meghan is preparing to launch a fashion line, and Emma Grede, who has built billion-dollar brands like Skims and Good American, is exactly the kind of collaborator who could help her do that successfully.”
He also, after analysing Emma’s Instagram footage, appeared to suggest that it wasn’t just a “casual dinner”.
He added: “The visuals are polished, professional, and designed to frame Meghan and Emma as equals within the same creative space. That kind of staging doesn’t happen by accident, it’s a soft-launch strategy we often see in PR when something bigger is on the horizon.”
