Liverpool have been dealt another injury setback as Jeremie Frimpong was forced to leave the pitch due to a hamstring problem during the Reds’ Champions League face-off with Eintracht Frankfurt. The Dutch international had to be substituted just 19 minutes into the game at Deutsche Bank Park.
The 24-year-old encountered the muscle problem following a sprint down the right flank in the 16th minute. Despite his initial attempts to continue playing, Frimpong was visibly limping on the pitch before eventually sitting down on the grass a few minutes later and going off. Conor Bradley replaced the summer signing.
