Princess Kate beamed from ear to ear as she arrived at Westminster Abbey for her festive carol concert this evening. The 42-year-old was spotted in a gorgeous red ensemble before the Together at Christmas service began and left royal fans wowed by her look.
Kate looked chic in the show-stopping ensemble – the Princess was pictured in a stylish coat by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. However, fans were quick to point out that it was a re-wear.
Fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts on Princess Kate’s outfit. One user said: “I knew she would wear red and that coat I had a feeling. She looks so elegant.”
“I love this look on her,” added another. While a third penned: “I have loved that coat on Kate ever since she wore it in Wales a couple of years ago.”
Back in 2020 while attending a royal engagement at Cardiff Castle, Princess Kate wore the garment and teamed it with a tartan scarf. Taking inspiration from her previous look she was spotted wearing a similar print skirt tonight.
Underneath her designer jacket, she wore a black top that perfectly complimented her structured tartan skirt that flowed as she walked.
Again, this was another re-wear from her closet – back in 2018 Kate wore the garment to a Christmas party she held along with Prince William, 42, at Kensington Palace.
It has been reported that it was created by luxury designer Emilia Wickstead and the Princess has worn a selection of her outwear over the years.
The Princess is very conscious of sustainable fashion, so it comes as no surprise that she went for a completely recycled look for the glittering event.
As Kate made her way into the church and took her seat you could also see her sporting a pair of black stiletto knee-high boots.
These were allegedly from reportedly from Ralph Lauren. Kate may have taken style notes from Duchess Sophie as she is known for wearing knee high boots with midi-dresses and long skirts.
