Major brand announces new store opening on UK high street | UK | News

A major UK retailer known for its streetwear and sportswear is set to open a brand new store at Croft Retail and Leisure Park in Bromborough, Wirral. Footasylum, established in 2005, now operates more than 55 locations across the UK and offers a wide selection of footwear and apparel from leading brands such as Nike, adidas Originals, Jordan, The North Face, as well as designer labels including Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. This new store will be the brand’s first ever outlet in Wirral.

While the official opening date is yet to be confirmed, the retail park has announced that Footasylum will be launching soon. The retailer already has a strong presence in nearby locations such as Liverpool ONE, Liverpool Shopping Park, and New Mersey Shopping Park, making this its debut store in Wirral.

The Croft shared the news on Facebook on October 15, posting: “Something exciting is on the way!

“We’re thrilled to announce that Footasylum will soon be opening its doors here at The Croft.

“Get ready to shop the latest styles from your favourite brands, including Nike, adidas, New Balance, Berghaus and more.

“Stay tuned for opening details – it won’t be long now.”

The 450,000 square feet Croft Retail and Leisure Park is a popular destination for local shoppers. Alongside Footasylum, it hosts major retailers such as TK Maxx, Sports Direct, Next, JD Sports, and H&M.

The park also features a seven-screen ODEON cinema, gyms, and offers 1,200 free car parking spaces.

The retail park has plenty of places to eat and drink and has a Harvester, Nando’s, KFC, Subway, McDonald’s, and the newly opened restaurant, Gourmet 4 Foodhall & Bar.

The arrival of Footasylum is the latest addition to the Croft Retail Park, which has seen a series of new openings and developments over the past year. The JD sports also opened in July of this year.

In August, US fast-food giant Wendy’s opened its first Wirral branch at the site, complete with a drive-thru.

Several units at the park were acquired by Redsun Projects last year, while Gastronomy Properties, the company behind the UK franchises of Wendy’s and Starbucks is also investing in the site’s development.
