A major food store chain with more than 115 branches across the UK is opening a brand new venue this Friday.

Chopstix, the UK’s favourite noodle bar, will be opening the doors to its new store in South Yorkshire’s shopping centre Meadowhall at 11am on October 17, with a huge opening day event. The store will be based in Meadowhall’s food court and to celebrate the opening, the chain will be running a huge food giveaway on the day including 1,000 free vegetable spring rolls and a free medium box with two toppings for the first 100 customers. The launch marks Chopstix’s first ever Meadowhall location and will bring 10 new jobs to South Yorkshire.

The Meadowhall location is the chain’s twelfth new store of 2025, following openings in Leeds, Huddersfield, Hull and the revamp of the new Chopstix 3.0 style in Bridgend.

Now numbering more than 115 locations across the UK, Chopstix has stores in almost every major city and town in the country and has quickly become one of the UK’s most popular quick service restaurants, with its focus on Asian flavours.

As well as take away classics like Sweet & Sour Chicken and Salt ‘N’ Pepper Chicken, Chopstix has a range of fresh flavours including its spicy Firecracker Chicken with a fiery garlic and chilli seasoning, and brand favourites like Chicken Katsu Curry and its signature Caramel Drizzle Chicken.

The noodle bar’s popular dishes are also available to order through Chopstix Delivery and Click & Collect via the website or Chopstix app, as well as from delivery platforms including UberEats, Deliveroo and Just Eat.

Customers can sign up to get an email voucher for one of 1,000 free portions of Chopstix’s spring rolls online and the voucher will be valid from October 17 until October 23, 2025, at Chopstix Sheffield Meadowhall.

Rob Burns, Marketing Director for Chopstix, said: “Sheffield’s Meadowhall Shopping Centre is one of the most exciting shopping and destinations in South Yorkshire and we’re so thrilled to be bringing some big, bold flavours for the thousands of eager flavour cravers.

“Everywhere we open a new store, we’re always thrilled with the response; so many people are looking for a quick, tasty and affordable option for lunch and on-the-go food that can scratch the itch for those fresh flavours that you get with our food.

“It’s a really exciting time for our business as a whole, and we’re excited to welcome our local fans to the store when we open our doors.”
